All of the artisan techniques such as shaped carvings, engravings, and sand blasting have been taught to succeeding generations. The addition of Computer Assisted Drawing has allowed the business to design memorials "with" their clients. Full size renderings are supplied for approval.

We have shipped memorials as far away as Alaska and often have clients who have "picked up" small monuments and transported them to nearby states.

In 1920, Benjamin Bowker moved from Brandon to West Rutland with his family to found Bowker & Sons Memorials. Area quarries supplied the marble for veteran's markers and the engraving of these markers through the war years was the main source of income.

Six generations later, Bowker & Son Memorials has become a full service supplier of cemetery monuments, restoration, and engraving. Bowker's has become a way of life for the family and a premiere business.
